"This world could be ours if you follow my lead." - Starlight Glimmer

Similar to that of my last artwork of these two, the sketch for this one originally came along shortly after season 7's premiere. Because I procrastinate too much, however, it took me forever to digitally modify and complete this.
The classic "what if" scenarios started rolling into my head after watching the black hole incident that Twilight Sparkle anxiously imagined, thus inspiring me to picture darker fates that Starlight Glimmer could potentially end up with (or be the cause of, technically).
So, what if the magic of friendship leads to danger and destruction in the long run? She could go back to her old ways and (somehow) successfully convince Sunburst to reroute to the path of evil; that it's a better life and a better decison and whatever else. An inseparable bond would be soon to come, and they would rely on one another in some aspects to progress to a point of being magically overpowered. The goal after that? Watch Equestria fall either until there's nothing left, or unless somepony typically tries to stop them before it's too late.
As the title implies, it sounds highly unlikely for any of that to happen; might be a little out of character, too.

The shading has killed me yet again, and the flaws are as noticeable as ever.
Starlight was more like the guinea pig to dump shading experiments on rather than her just being a part of the picture.
I'm not even sure if the poses are anatomically correct...
If I allowed you to see the raw sketch of this, you'd see just how drastically I had to modify and reposition things to make this work.
Sunburst's shading, if I had to describe it, is a cross between a masterpiece and a disaster.
Background's kind of random, but it's better than none. Right?
None of this was necessary to tell, but here it is!
